Our Fantastic Weekend at The Thames Festival:

After months of organising our area at the Thames Festival was an amazing display of lots of talented UK designer makers.
The Thames Festival was a huge challenge for us as we have never created a event in a outdoor space before. But it was such a fun weekend, we enjoyed every minute of it.

We were very proud toy see the stalls draped with beautiful products. Each stall looking amazing and inviting to visitors.
Here are just a selection of the amazing stalls in our area, to see more pictures have a look at our Thames Festival Gallery Page: http://wemakelondon.blogspot.com/p/thames-festival-information.html

We had lots of fun in our 7 workshops. A big thank you to Hatastic, Make Industries, Biba's Tea Party, Mischam, Bumble and Earwig and Heart Zeena.

We were also very proud to be part of the Craft Trail and that it launched with a lot of success. We had lots of excited visitors waiting for their stamp so they could hurry off and get a goody bag and enter the prize draw.

Thames Festival Designers: Childrens Clothing

With just a few days to go we would like to introduce you to some of the designers that will be at the We Make London area at the Thames Festival.

These are all of the wonderful sellers that make childrens clothing

I love kids clothes and have always had great fun shopping for clothes for friends' babies, discovering many great independant designers and small labels along the way.
In 2009 I started 'littlechook' with the aim of producing a fun and quirky collection of childrenswear all featuring my flock prints.
Please have a browse of our gallery to see a selection of our designs or visit or shop at  http://notonthehighstreet.com/littlechook  to see our full range.
We are also on facebook - just search for 'littlechook' and 'like' us for previews, special offers and sample sales.

MoochicBaby offers a gorgeous range of soft and snuggly hand printed children's bedding and nightwear. Started by two friends, Yuva and Aneesa late in 2010, each print in the MoochicBaby collection is driven by colour and inspired totally by fun! Having between them two children under the age of 5, they became tired of paying ridiculous prices for products, that offered little by way of originality and quality in return. This led them to create their own original and vibrant collection using prints that have been in Yuva's family for generations. Each item is handcrafted  using traditional block printing techniques and is therefore completely unique. Moreover, all of their products are made with 100% pure cotton enhancing the snuggle experience!
I design & make children’s clothes. I designed the Kimonii, an all-in-one wrap around trouser suit that combines style with practicality. It slips on like a Kimono, the trousers wrap round and fold up, and down again for changing.

I make a whole collection of Eastern inspired kids clothes which mix simple shapes and cute styling with practicality.

I hand make all the items for sale at the festival.

Kappuke-ki (Ca-pook-key) means cupcake in Japanese, and I’ll be selling
those as well!

Thames Festival Designers: Hats

With just a few days to go we would like to introduce you to some of the designers that will be at the We Make London area at the Thames Festival.

These are all of the wonderful Hat sellers that will be there:

Hatastic! founded in 2009 by ChloĆ« Haywood, and the same year won the competition ‘Fashioning Technology’.

Her Recreation Collection (headpieces made from games) launched at Alternative Fashion Week 2010 was then showed at Brighton Fashion Week, and was consequently featured in The Times, Cosmopolitan, OK Magazine and countless blogs.

L’air du temps is a collection of reworked hats adorned with vintage remnants, jewellery and millinery foliage.

Her next collection Candy, has already been seen on the likes of Keisha Buchanan (ex Sugarbabe) and she’s also working on a collaboration with Ayten Gasson Lingerie.

Recently nominated as Accessory Designer of the Year, she has also been working on a couple of projects soon to be featured in the book ‘Glitter Crafts’.

I live and work in London, UK and make hand-sewn romantic, vintage style, and shabby chic flowers, ruffles, accessories and jewelry.

I love to work with silk, satin, lace, new, vintage, second hand and upcycled materials, jewelry and beads to make creations for both special occasions and everyday embellishment.

Feather Fancies is run and owned by Paula Eastman.

Paula has worked for over fifteen years in theatrical costuming and has a Master of Arts in Fashion from The London School of Fashion.

Here at Feather Fancies we love to create and are always trying out new designs to bring to you so watch out in the 'Limited Collection' page as these are generally one offs, so grab yourself something unique that no-one else will have and be the talk of the party!
