The 'We Make Christmas Craft Wonderland' is once again showcasing some of the UKs most talented handmade designers. With unique and hand finished gifts, you will never been stuck for ideas for that perfect present. Here are some of my favourites from the 2010 Christmas exhibitors.
'Shoes' pashmina £61 by Candice Wren
'Candice Wren is a bespoke pashmina label which creates unique designs that are printed onto cashmere and silk pashminas.'
These Pashminas are stunning. I particularly love the 'shoes' print... quite fitting for me, as my shoe collection seems to be taking over my bedroom! The shoes have been silk screen printed onto both sides of the edging of the pashmina. The inner shoe is a lilac shade and each shoe has been hand beaded. Beautiful.
'A pretty silver birdie charm with a lovely little pinkish vintage flower and a tiny sterling silver heart charm hang on a sterling silver chain.' I am a big fan of the vintage look and I love this fabulous necklace. So pretty.
How fun is this Lips necklace by Mockinghorse? (£10)
Birdbox - Great Tit £35 by London Clay Birds
Helter Skelter soap by Kushmoma (check shop for prices)
Mens slippers by Isolyn £40
Handmade pocket wallet by Gosia Weber £8
Teeny Friends T-Shirt by Toby Boo £6.00 each
I personally adore hand knitted items, and I am reather chuffed that over recent years it's become really trendy. I absolutely LOVE these hand knitted childrens scarves from Namolio!
They are approx £27.55. Look at the stunning colours used... love them!
Smug cat softie plush toy by Kate Garey £12
So there we have some amazing gift ideas. But, I've only scratched the surface! Chelsea Town Hall will be adorned with treasures from these designers and so many more!

New Talent Showcase:
We Make is a non for profit organisation. So for each of our fairs we rely on help from like minded people.
we advertise for helpers on Arts website as helping at our events and seeing how a big fair is set up is good experience for them.
This year when speaking to the people that applied to help we were amazed at the talent they all hold.
Artist, deisgners, illustrators. Their work was amazing. All of them have just graduated from university.
So we decide to creat a mini show just for them. They have curated it themselves and are currently working away at signs, banners, etc.
So come along tomorrow to the fair and take a look at their showcase.

Wear Me Designer Feature:
About Wear Me:
Born in Ghana, West Africa, I came to live in the East End of London in 1985, where I've spent most of my adult life. Since then I've managed to fit in a fair bit a travelling, which I feel is really important as a designer. One of my favourite places is Santa Julia beach in Corsica, beautiful.
My path in this business has been a bit of a random journey to say the least, although I tried my hand at a few regular jobs, design was always at the heart of my intentions. I work with medium weight leather hides to make art nouveau style bags and statement jewellery. I suppose I developed a love of leather from my mum who was obsessed with the quality, feel and smell (aren't we all).
Inspirations:
I was always going to do what I do, one way or another. I chose bags initially because I wanted my creations to be useful, however sometimes we just want beautiful things that please us, which is why I began designing jewellery. The jewellery is made from vegetable tanned leather which is then molded to create challenging forms that deceive the eye. My designs are inspired by nature and emotion as well as people who represent feelings of boldness and freedom. Quite often however, my creations are spontaneous and random, which I also love.
Signature Piece:
The Ivy garland was my molded leather launch piece, it captured my emotion at the time which was one independence and excitement. It still sparks these feelings every time I see it.
We Make Christmas:
I'll be bringing a selection of my molded pieces, long elegant chains and leather pendants, along with earrings and bracelets in the Ivy range and the new Masai collection. In addition will be my classic leather purses and bags, including the Mrs Cooper Star and the Winter Rose collection. You'll also be able to buy beautifully packaged gift sets and receive complimentary seasonal treats.
