About Grace and Firefly:

After 5 years working as a visual merchandiser for a large home furnishing company, I decided to spend more time on my own creations. I always loved collecting fabric and buttons and while I was trying to find a good use for all of my buttons, I discovered the joy of making button jewellery. Now, I also teach a Button Jewellery Taster class and Beginners Metal Clay at the London Jewellery School as well as making my own pretty things. To fulfil my passion for both sewing and jewellery making, I extended my range from tote bags, little cute purses to button jewellery and also fine silver jewellery, all the cute accessories that every girl needs!

Inspirations:

I love shabby chic style and sweet Japanese accessories. I also take inspiration from anything around me and sometimes I find the best designs come from trial and error, which can often lead to something quite unique and different.

Best Sellers:

My best seller is the mini polka dot coin purse. It’s very popular for the wedding season as they are brilliant as gifts for the bridesmaids. I found a variety of mini polka dot fabrics and cotton lace trimming when I visited my parents in Taiwan and just instantly fell in love with them. Button jewellery is quite popular too, children love it because of the bright colours, and adults love it because it’s something a little different.

We Make Christmas:

There will be lots of coin purses, clutches and tote bags made from Japanese fabric and contemporary print, such as Amy Butler and Michael Miller along with some jewellery made from buttons and fine silver. I’m also very excited about my “Sew Many Times” ring. The design won second prize during the Art Clay UK Conference 2010 in the ring category which had a theme of "Past Times".

ABOUT LUCIE ELLEN:

My name is Lucie Beeston, and I started the Lucie Ellen line about 4 years ago after leaving my Graphic Design degree with a need to do something with my hands. I do all of my making in my shed/studio in my garden in Suffolk, turning broken plates and reclaimed wood into lovely things to wear and use.

MY INSPIRATIONS:

I think my main motivation is creating things that people will cherish from things that would have otherwise ended up in the bin. Broken china, offcuts of wood, falling apart books and scraps of paper - it’s all in there. Because of this, my work has a very 40s/50s feel, which I love.

BEST SELLER:

My brooches cut from broken china are my biggest seller. No two brooches are ever the same - it’s recycling at it’s prettiest!

WE MAKE CHRISTMAS:

At the We Make London Christmas Fair you can expect to see a dazzling array of vintage china brooches and earrings, along with coasters made in the same way. Expect bunting necklaces galore and a new range of wooden jewels!

About Creme Nouveau:

I love creating jewellery and it has got to be flamboyant, tongue in cheek and above all fun! It’s got to make you smile. I can’t resist using unexpected items and kooky vintage images. I hunt for my treasure in junk shops and at car boots sales. My medium of choice is predominantly resin and any charming odds and ends. My work is all about retro revival with a sense of humour, and of course involving sprinklings of the most sparkly finds and lashings of decadent glamour.

Inspirations:

I love extravagant gewgaws and nostalgic kitsch ephemera. I’m fascinated by weird and wonderful oddities from decades past, and vintage Hollywood glamour, perfectly preened actresses dripping in elaborate jewels. I try to combine this extravagance with my whimsical finds to create jewellery that when worn, demands attention.

Best Sellers:

Babe necklace from my twinkle deluxe collection is my most popular. It features an image of a 17^th century nude woman being led blind fold by a pig and a cherub! Also my ‘oh crumbs’ collection always go down a treat, the jammy dazzler brooches In particular.

We Make Christmas:

This winter Creme Nouveau celebrates the launch of the new home wares section on the site. At the show I will be selling my new gorgeously scented Christmas candles in tea cups, not only do they smell delicious they look good enough to eat! They come in flavours that make you feel all warm and snug on a winter night, there’s mulled wine, hot choc, brandied fruit punch to name just a few!

Also a few more new additions to the twinkle deluxe range have arrived, I will be showing a new selection of brooches, and with all their sparkly crystals they are perfect for the party season!
