Thames Festival Designers: Hats

With just a few days to go we would like to introduce you to some of the designers that will be at the We Make London area at the Thames Festival.

These are all of the wonderful Hat sellers that will be there:

Hatastic! founded in 2009 by ChloĆ« Haywood, and the same year won the competition ‘Fashioning Technology’.

Her Recreation Collection (headpieces made from games) launched at Alternative Fashion Week 2010 was then showed at Brighton Fashion Week, and was consequently featured in The Times, Cosmopolitan, OK Magazine and countless blogs.

L’air du temps is a collection of reworked hats adorned with vintage remnants, jewellery and millinery foliage.

Her next collection Candy, has already been seen on the likes of Keisha Buchanan (ex Sugarbabe) and she’s also working on a collaboration with Ayten Gasson Lingerie.

Recently nominated as Accessory Designer of the Year, she has also been working on a couple of projects soon to be featured in the book ‘Glitter Crafts’.

I live and work in London, UK and make hand-sewn romantic, vintage style, and shabby chic flowers, ruffles, accessories and jewelry.

I love to work with silk, satin, lace, new, vintage, second hand and upcycled materials, jewelry and beads to make creations for both special occasions and everyday embellishment.

Feather Fancies is run and owned by Paula Eastman.

Paula has worked for over fifteen years in theatrical costuming and has a Master of Arts in Fashion from The London School of Fashion.

Here at Feather Fancies we love to create and are always trying out new designs to bring to you so watch out in the 'Limited Collection' page as these are generally one offs, so grab yourself something unique that no-one else will have and be the talk of the party!
