Thames Festival Designers:

With just under 2 weeks to go we would like to introduce you to some of the designers that will be at the We Make London area at the Thames Festival.

These are all of the wonderful sellers that make various items:

Ceramics:

I was born and brought up in Istanbul and have lived in London for the last twenty years. I have exhibited in Istanbul, the Q.E.II, Bergen and London. Some of my work is in private collections in Turkey, London and the US.
My journey started with painting in oil colours which engaged me for a long time. A passion to continually expand my experience has lead me to experiment with materials ranging from paper, yarn, fabric, and now to much harder materials like marble, mosaic, and ceramics.
The enjoyment of creating large-scale works, especially in hand cut marble and mosaics became the influential force behind my decision to take a degree in ceramics.
For the last three years I have been constructing forms in porcelain clay with a focus on making the viewer hyper-aware of the inner and outer spaces they occupy. With this goal in mind I try to impact with bodily experiences such as creating a 700-piece porcelain installation which the viewer can walk through.
I have completed my PGcert Masters in Teaching in Higher Education at the University of the Arts-London
My work is for sale and I accept commissions.

So whether it's a divinely sumptuous shea body butter you are after or a body polish to get you beach babe ready, we hope to have just what you are looking for.
Stay gorgeous!!!
Online Magazine:

UK Handmade is a design led online magazine committed to showcasing and promoting the best creative talent the UK has to offer. The term 'handmade' is now an indicator of quality, care and professionalism that is second to none and something we at UK Handmade wish to encourage and celebrate.

Artists and designers from across all of the art disciplines have a place here including photography, textiles, jewellery, fashion, art and design. In a time when people are realising the importance of spending quality time with the family, small businesses are being started from the kitchen table and becoming an integral part of our overall lifestyle. We want to bring back the skills of our grandparents, grow vegetables with our children, to make do and mend and return to an ideology that previous generations took for granted.
