About Ridley and Dowse:
Ridley & Dowse is a design partnership between jeweller Vivienne Ridley and fashion and print designer Susannah Dowse. Together they produce a range of jewellery and lifestyle products.
Between them they have a design heritage that includes collaborations with Boxfresh, Topman, Harrods and Wayne Hemnigway as well as long established self owned businesses in fashion & accessories. They are also organisers of Brighton’s art and design market The Assembly Room and are the designers of the Cloud Cuckoo Land room at the Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton.
Ridley & Dowse make all their products ethically in Britain. They believe the beauty in an object comes in part from how it is made and by whom.
Their collection showing at We Make London will include steel and brass jewellery on sterling silver chain, cake decorations, bookmarks, mugs, organic cotton textiles and bonded leather accessories.
Inspirations:
We draw our inspiration from graphic arts and illustration and vintage finds. Our most recent range of jewellery is reflective of the magnificent geometric patterns from the palace at the Alhambra in Granada and Japanese optical arts.
