Larysa Kucak Designer Feature:

About Larysa Kucak:

'Ultra-feminine, provocative and sensual: the corset is historically fashion's most controversial garment.

An impeccably designed corset should be elegant, comfortable and stop traffic.'

Larysa Kucak is a corset designer based in West London, England, with strong connections and extensive training in the fashion industry. Having spent much of her childhood at the knee of her mother who produced haute couture gowns for some of the UK’s most prominent designers in the 1980s and 1990s, attending numerous fashion shows and developing an affinity for textile and design. Having been employed by various designers and high-end fashion boutiques, Larysa’s dedicated specialism in corsetry developed when she founded her own business in December 2008, and her first large-scale public engagement was an invitation to produce a collection for the BT-UNICEF Charity Ball, in March 2009.

Inspirations:

Inspiration comes in all forms. A simple piece of trimming or fabric can bring about a new creation, as can fashion icons, such as Dita Von Teese or Isabella Blow. Inspiration is sought from every aspect of life, fashion, media, culture and even architecture. The strangest form of inspiration, which was for a private commission, was a scaly lizard!

Best Sellers:

The Signature Corset, would be the stunning Red Overbust Corset, hand finished with fine French Lace, both front and back. This was a private commission, to be photographed for the front cover of a book about women, exposure and public exhibitionism, due to be printed in 2011.

We Make Christmas:

At the Fair, Larysa plans to showcase the Winter Collection of Corsets, which will be available to purchase, as well as lovely Corset Accessories and handmade gifts, such as bags, scarves and small accessories, perfect as stocking fillers.
