Chi Chi Moi Designer Feature

About Chi Chi Moi:

‘Chi-Chi Moi’ aims to take traditional knit and crochet and add a fun and quirky slant. The range features corsages, hairclips, headbands, woollen rings and most recently tea cosies. All products use merino, alpaca or pure new wools, plus vintage or found objects wherever possible.

Jan Ollis the designer behind ‘Chi-Chi Moi’ originally trained and worked in printed textile design, but when she could not find a gift for a friend, decided to draw on the knitting and crochet skills learnt as a child. The resulting gift, a corsage was a great success and the rest they ‘is history’

Inspirations:

Inspiration comes from many sources, 50’s design, vintage beads, the colour of my granny’s teapot, the softness of Alpaca wool. I have a notebook for ideas, too many for a lifetime I think.

We Make Christmas:

One of my favourite products for this winter is a warm and snugly alpaca mix headband, plus a warm and snugly cosy for your teapot. I will be bringing both to ‘We Make’ this December and am busy looking at colour combinations.

My hubby seems to have developed a thing for quirky knitted tea cosies, so I know he'll find his way to you (or I'll point him in the right direction)!
