Helpers needed for our Christmas fair:

We Make is a collective of like minded designers and artists who put on events and fairs in London which promote handmade craft and design from around the UK.

This Christmas we are putting on our biggest event yet at Chelsea Town Hall on the Kings Road, London on Saturday December 4th.
This fair will hold over 80 stalls with various other crafting events and a café.

We are looking for up to 10 interns to help out on the day. Your tasks will be varied from handing out flyers, working on the door, helping stall holders, assisting the general public and helping out the organising team. This is a great way to get an insight into the running of a large art event as well as working closely with many established and up and coming designers and artists.

There will be 2 members of the organising team with whom you will work closely on the day to make sure that all goes smoothly at this event so you will be well supported.
Although this is an unpaid position it is perfect for an art student or events management student who is looking for some experience in this field.

You will however receive a day’s travel card, a voucher for the café as a thanks for helping us make our event a successful one. We will also provide you with a reference for your help with the event.

If you are interested in this position then please email Mary McDermott at wemakelondon@googlemail.com. Please include a copy of your CV.

Our site is http://wemakelondon.blogspot.com

We are always looking for help with organising our events, as We Make is a non profit making venture. If you are successful and all goes well on the day there is the possibility that some interns could work with us on a more permanent basis helping us with our PR and also curating future events. So this really is a great opportunity for anyone interested in getting into event organising or the craft world in general.
