Gift Guide: Homewares

Gift Guide Written by Tracy Brown from White Lily Green

I'm so excited to have found so many talented Designers of homeware items exhibiting in the We Make Summer Fair. I think I enjoy seeking out original finishing touches for my house more than I enjoy looking for accessories or clothes! There's something rather gratifying about furnishing your home and making it a part of you.

Here are some of my favourites from the exhibiting Designers.

Belle & Boo:

Cushion - My Favourite Spot in Spring
Belle & Boos range of hand-finished cushions caught my eye straight away. This one is my favourite. The colour is gorgeous and I adore the print. It would look amazing in a nursery. Nursery décor is very much a personal thing, and I love the idea of having something thats not off the peg. Belle & Boo is one of my favourite Designers at the moment, so check out other ranges such as art prints, paper goods and clothing.

Charlotte Macey:

Charlotte Macey hand produces really quirky illustrated textile items and I love them all. Her work makes me think of sunny cottages. I adore the egg cosies, they are so cute! I would be hard pushed to choose one design, so the set of 4 would be perfect! I can just imagine being brought breakfast in bed with one of these cuties keeping my boiled eggs warm :)

Heart Zeena:

Kitchens shouldn't be neglected when it comes to finishing touches. I really like having lovely tea towels in my kitchen, and these are just adorable. The are hand screen printed and 100% cotton. They also have their own ribbon tags to hang them up!

Polka Dots and Bloom:

Polka Dots and Bloom make such beautiful decorative vintage items. My absolute favourites are their Reversible Vintage Linen Storage Basket/Bags. They are not only gorgeous, but a really lovely and useful storage idea. They are ideal for storing pretty much anything, and I can imagine even my unruly crafting clutter looking pretty in one of these. They would look great on a dresser or even on the floor. Just stunning. These baskets come with some history as the fabrics used date back 60 -100 years. Seems to make them even more special :)

Woozy:

Woozy create the most amazing wall stickers I have ever seen. You can transform an entire room with these stunning vinyl images. They describe their work as 'fresh and innovative' and I have to agree. Their designs are contemporary and offer an exciting alternative to conventional decoration.
My favourite is the Orchid. A bold statement.
